LUCKY LUUK

Our rustic Western spectacle is heading to Poland and Italy in the fall of 2023. In 2024, we'll be reprising the show in the Netherlands and Belgium

The creators of productions like The Gruffalo and The 13-Storey Treehouse are coming with a new family show, loosely inspired by the well-known comic series Lucky Luke. A Low Countries Western as an ode to daydreaming and the rich imagination of playing children.
In LUCKY LUUK, Meneer Monster slowly disappears into the Wild West. From a magical miniature world, three boys make their way through their imagination. As three tough 'polder cowboys' who want to feel big and strong. But they soon come face to face with their own shadows and start shooting wildly in fright.
LUCKY LUUK is a physical and visual theater sensation, framed by polyphonic Western music.

"The performance is not even five minutes in, and the audience is already in an uproar. Meneer Monster knows how to get things rolling. (...) 'Lucky Luuk' is bursting at the seams with hilarious scenes, clever set changes, and miraculous transformations of the actors. A gem."

"Ge-ni-us! What the guys from Meneer Monster do is humorous, surprising, and clever in all its simplicity for a solid three-quarters of an hour."
